| Purpose | To set policy for the Board of Education, hire the Superintendent of Schools, and acquire appropriate funding for the Carroll County school system. |
| Service | Members are elected for four-year terms; an appointed student representative serves for one year. Meetings are 5 pm on the second Wednesday of each month. Officers of the school board are elected each December. TTY users call via MD Relay 711. Community members who wish to send an email to all board members and the superintendent may do so through the CCPS website at https://www.carrollk12.org/board-of-education.
