Purpose | To teach basic babysitting responsibilities and skills including Pediatric First Aid and CPR, to increase the student's awareness of the employer's expectations, and to teach basic care of children and emergency actions. |
Service | Courses are given on a rotating basis in various locations throughout the county, and taught by Red Cross-certified instructors. In the state of Maryland, youth must be at least 13 years of age in order to legally babysit for children 8 years of age or younger. |
Eligibility | Open to students 11 years of age or older. |
