Purpose | To represent the interests of merit shop contractors and organizations dedicated to providing management techniques, craftsmanship, and competitive bidding and pricing strategies, regardless of labor affiliation. |
Service | Offers group insurance programs, legal aid, legislative lobbying, education and training programs, safety education, networking opportunities, and social functions. Apprenticeship programs are offered in plumbing, carpentry, sheet metal, electrical, sprinkler fitter, HVAC and pipe fitting. Applications are taken during regular office hours from January to September; accepted applicants are placed on a waiting list for job referral. Publishes a bi-monthly newsletter called "Newsline." |
