Purpose | Opening July 16th, 2019, the purpose of the Carroll County Homeschool Resource Center is to provide a convenient, free or low-cost centrally located resource center, lending library and used bookstore for new and experienced homeschool families to find educational curricula, educational material, manipulatives, educational games, equipment, supplies and support. |
Service | The majority of the materials available in our lending library are provided by the generous donations from fellow homeschooling families who are no longer using them and would like to pass them on. We are very grateful for these donations and invite the public to consider donating books of general interest in great literature, history, and other subject matter. Some of these books will be part of our lending library, others will be available for sale, helping to support expenses of the Center. Homeschoolers helping homeschoolers is what we are all about! We offer supplies such as, a copy machine, heavy-duty stapler, heavy-duty hole punch, paper cutter, laminating machine and book binding machine. We also offer support for families by offering evening monthly parent meetings and Homeschool 101 events for new homeschoolers, as well as space available for daytime workshops, classes and co-ops. |
