Purpose | Lions meet the needs of local communities and the world. The 1.36 million members of our volunteer organization in 207 countries and geographic areas are different in many ways, but share a core belief - community is what we make it. |
Service | Donations to Lions Vision Research Foundation, Maryland Society for Sight, Leader Dogs for the Blind, Medical Eye Bank of Maryland. The club supports Scouting projects, the Special Olympics, the American Cancer Society, the American Diabetes Foundation, and E.S.C.A.P.E. Ministries. The club provides scholarships to students at Liberty and Century High Schools and supports other school programs including drug awareness education and the "Just-Say-No" program in the three elementary schools in the South Carroll area. The club makes Christmas donations to Springfiled Hospital Center and visits the residents at Oakland Manor Assisted Living Center. We also assist needy families in the area, especially during the holidays. Meetings are held at 7 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month at the Messiah Lutheran Church Celebration Hall, 5600 Old Washington Road, Sykesville, MD. |

Fees | $98.65 every six months: this includes meals at meetings |
