Service | This voluntary health organization provides community outreach on cancer prevention and early detection through educational programs and events. Provides transportation to cancer treatment centers. Some limited financial assistance provided for pain and nausea medications. Personal help available through various support programs. Literature available to patients, their families, and the general community on prevention, risk reduction, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, and continuing care. Volunteers participate in all aspects of services, programs, public speaking, and fund-raising. The national organization also sponsors a $1,000 college scholarships for childhood cancer survivors.
