Purpose | Recruit, screen, train and supervise volunteer Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) to advocate for the best interest of abused and neglected children in court. Assist the court in securing a safe, permanent home for every child. |
Service | Volunteer Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) is requested by court order by the Juvenile Court. Each volunteer serves one child or sibling group at a time. Volunteers spend time with children and interview parents, caregivers, educators, counselors, and others to learn about their situation. Volunteers submit reports to the court to provide more information and recommendations about what steps and services might help children find safe, permanent homes. |
