| Purpose | To offer a civic and social organization for persons in all walks of life who desire to band together for the purpose of community betterment. |
| Service | Interested in community service projects, especially in the area of vision, hearing, and speech. Lends hospital beds, wheelchairs, crutches and other medical equipment to needy community members. Helps the local fire department and rescue squad raise funds to purchase equipment. Sponsors biannual blood drives. Sponsor of Community Health Fair. Provides annual Lions scholarship through the Carroll County Community Foundation. Helps provide and maintain playground equipment at the Union Bridge Community Center. Sponsors the Western Carroll Student Art Show with four other local Lions Clubs, and participates in the Lions International peace poster contest. Meetings are 6:29 pm the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at the Buttersburg Inn, 9 N. Main Street, Union Bridge, except in July and August. Dinner is followed by a business meeting and an informative or entertaining program. |
