Purpose	To support the work of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) by raising funds for its programs and increasing awareness of the challenges facing the world's children.
Service	This UNICEF committee, the oldest of those worldwide, is part of a global effort to save, protect, and improve children's lives. The organization Internet site provides detailed information on all of UNCEF's programs including fundraising campaigns such as Trick or Treat for UNICEF, high school clubs, and campus initiatives. Brochures, reports, and multimedia presentations are also available to view or download. Teachers or community organizations may also request a speaker or purchase one of the organization's videos. Volunteer opportunities within the United States and abroad are also available.
