Purpose | To provide grieving children with opportunities to share about their loss, connect with other kids, learn how to handle emotions, and have fun. |
Service | Children are taught coping and emotion regulation skills, encouraged to express their feelings, and provided with opportunities to memorialize their loved one, connect with other grieving kids, and to have fun. Camp activities include arts and crafts, games, music and animal therapy, campfires, and more. Several camps are offered each year: overnight camp in the spring (grades 1-8), family day camp in the fall, and biannual teen camp (grades 9-12), as well as a summer and winter reunion. |
Eligibility | Children in Frederick County will be served first; youth from other counties will be considered if there are openings. |
Fees | No fees are charged. |
Ages Served | Serves children ages 6 years to 18 years. |
