Purpose | To bring together persons interested in steam traction engines, other steam-operated equipment, gas and diesel tractors and engines, antique farm equipment of all kinds, horse-operated equipment, and models of all of the above, for displaying, educating and demonstrating for the public at a show. |
Service | Members also exchange information, and help each other preserve and operate such historically valuable machinery. Sponsors an annual four-day show the second weekend after Labor Day at the Arcadia Fire Company grounds located off of Arcadia Avenue. The fair grounds are located 3 miles south of Hampstead and 5 miles north of Reisterstown. Displays of antique steam engines, tractors, gas engines, and other farm equipment with threshing, sawmill, and shingle sawing demonstrations all four days. Activities include a consignment sale; an antique tractor pull, a pedal tractor pull for kids, and an antique car display. |
