Purpose | To promote and encourage historical research, and to preserve documents, relics, maps, and buildings related to the history and architecture of New Windsor and the surrounding area. Operates the New Windsor Museum, located 207 Main St. New Windsor. |
Service | Fosters and promotes public knowledge and interest in the history of the town of New Windsor. Presents programs in schools and to groups and organizations to encourage and inspire a sense of history in regard to the New Windsor area. Sponsors meetings and other activities for instructional and informational purposes of the members and the general public. Meets on the first Monday of each month, 7:30 at the Museum at 207 Main Street, New Windsor. Researches, discovers, restores, and assures preservation of buildings, land, homes, fixtures, and articles of real and personal property relating to the history and architecture of New Windsor and the surrounding area. Volunteer opportunities are available. Museum hours are Saturday 10am - 1pm. Closed holidays |
