Purpose
To provide a civic and social organization dedicated to helping the less fortunate in the community and world.
Service
Meetings are held at 7:00 PM on the second and fourth Mondays of each month. The Winfield Community Volunteer Fire Company Social Hall at 1320 W. Old Liberty Road in Sykesville is the site of the meetings. The Club's community involvement includes awarding scholastic grants to graduating South Carroll High School seniors, maintaining ballfields at Lions Park in Winfield for little league teams, Lions Park rental opportunities for others in the community, loaning hospital beds and other medical equipment free of charge for those in the community, contributing funds to the Winfield Fire Department and manning their food booth at their annual carnival, collecting eyeglasses and hearing aids for recycling, providing eye exams and glasses for those who cannot afford them, distributing holiday food baskets and gifts to needy families in the area and raising money for the American Diabetes Association and vision research.
