Purpose	The Taneytown Economic Development Department focuses on business attraction, business retention and expansion, and workforce development within the corporate boundaries of the City of Taneytown.
Service	The Taneytown Economic Development Department maintains and distributes a list of available commercial properties; responds to site selection inquiries and seeks out potential new businesses; offers a variety of grants, incentives, and other support to new and existing businesses; facilitates connections between Taneytown business operators and regional and state partners; and works to ensure a qualified workforce for employers in the City of Taneytown.
