Purpose | Cedarhurst Unitarian Universalists (CUU) is a progressive congregation grounded in the liberal religious tradition. As Unitarian Universalists, we affirm human worth and dignity, encourage the free search for truth, and commit ourselves to help create a society in which there is respect and justice. Rather than calling upon certainties, we encourage each person to engage in life to the fullest of our capacities. |
Service | Cedarhurst Unitarian Universalists (CUU) is an open spiritual community in which people develop their own religious philosophy. We draw from many wisdom traditions, including: Judaism, Christianity, Sufism, Buddhism, Hinduism, Taoism and Earth Religions. We also find inspiration in the traditions of science, poetry, philosophy and literature. We are a spiritual community living by principles, not creeds. We seek truth and meaning in life. We affirm and promote the dignity of every person - extending love and acceptance to all. We have a long-standing commitment to the full inclusion of all-without regard to race, age, sexual orientation or gender identity, economic status, disability, etc. We believe that the human family is one and that the love that binds us in greater than any fears that could divide us. |
