| To take an active interest in the civic, cultural, social and moral welfare of the community. To encourage service-minded people to serve their community without personal financial reward and to encourage efficiency, promote ethical standards in commerce, industry, public works and private endeavors. |
| This club is actively engaged in the Finksburg Maryland community to raise funds in order to provide educational/referral services to the public to prevent blindness. Through the school system, we enable vision and hearing screenings on an entry level scale, and the club provides correcting aids for the children or adults who are unable to afford them. Additionally, we provide support to the Maryland Eye Bank, Leader Dogs for the Blind, and three $1000 scholarships to qualifying high school graduating seniors each year who have been accepted to a college or university. The club owns and operates the Roaring Run Lions Community Park in Finksburg and sponsors a team annually. We publish the LION-O-GRAM (a bi-monthly bulletin). Meetings are held the first and third Wednesdays of each month at Bullock's Family Restaurant, Route 32, Westminster. | Members generally live within the local service area (Woolery's District) and must be approved for membership by the board of directors. |
| Annual dues are $120 for regular membership or $40 for affiliate membership. |
