| PLEASE MAKE YOUR REQUEST AT LEAST TWO MONTHS PRIOR TO THE EVENT. Due to high volume and a lengthy screening process, requests are currently taking several months to complete. However, they are being handled in as timely a manner as possible. Requests must be made for future events; they cannot be granted for occasions that took place before the date of the request. The White House prefers requests be made by email using the electronic form located at http://www.whitehouse.gov/contact; requests may also be made using the fax number above or mailed to the above address. Requests sent by US Mail may take up to a month to reach the White House Greetings Office. Include the full name of the individual making the request, the honoree's or couple's full name, form of address (such as Mr., Mrs., Dr., Miss, Ms.), the complete and correct mailing address, type of greeting requested (birthday or anniversary), and exact date of birth or date of the wedding anniversary (month, day, and year). Be sure to include the age for the birthday celebrants and the number of years of marriage for the wedding anniversaries. Also provide a daytime telephone number so you can be reached if any other information is needed. Individuals may only receive one presidental greeting per year. Detailed information is also available on a recorded message at the Greetings Office; please call the White House switchboard (202-456-1414) and ask to speak to the Greetings Office. Rep. Roscoe Bartlett's office is also willing to help individuals obtain presidential greetings. For his assistance, send the required information to The Honorable Congressman Roscoe G. Bartlett, 2414 Rayburn House Office Building, Washington, DC. You may also call his office at 202-225-2721, or fax it to 202-225-2193. |
