| Since there is not a comptroller's branch office in Carroll County, residents may visit this office in Baltimore County or receive services from the Frederick office, 100 W. Patrick Street, 301-600-1982. Numerous taxpayer services are provided. These include the preparation and/or electronic filing of Maryland Income Tax Returns at no charge; however, the taxpayer must bring a completed copy of his or her federal return. Comptroller branch offices no longer stock federal forms. Limited services pertaining to Sales Tax, Motor Fuel Tax, and Abandoned Property are also available. DURING THE FILING SEASON, JANUARY THROUGH APRIL 15, THE OFFICE IS OPEN ADDITIONAL HOURS TO ASSIST TAXPAYERS. THESE HOURS ARE LISTED IN TAX PACKETS. Various Maryland income tax forms are also available at this office. |
