| To provide nature study and environmental education to visitors of all ages, focusing on native plant and animal life. |
| Located in northern Carroll County off Route 97 North, just outside the gates of the Hashawha Environmental Center. Members receive a seasonal newsletter with a calendar of events listing upcoming programs such as nature hikes, environmental programs, and planentarium programs. The Center features a library resource room, a bird observation room, a discovery room, an exhibit hall, an auditorium, a 40-seat planetarium, and a gift shop. No reservations are required for nature center usage, although program registration is required. Volunteers, age 12 and older, are needed to help at the Nature Center. |
