| To protect and preserve the quality of life and property value for the New Windsor area; to monitor quarrying in the area; to maintain and protect the environment, and to guard, perpetuate, and preserve the health and well-being of the citizens of New Windsor and Carroll County. |
| The major ongoing activity is the Rural Planning Project, one element of which is developing an Environmental Resource Inventory. Current issues include expansion of the Lehigh plant in Union Bridge and its New Windsor quarry. An additional issue involves the transfer of stone from the New Windsor quarry to the Union Bridge plant, and the method, truck train or a cross country conveyer system. Meetings are quarterly and open to the public. Call the president for meeting dates and times. |
